- Metro-Davidson County, At-Large Member
Dr. JoAnn Brannon has been a member of the Metro-Davidson County Board of Education since 2006. She is an active member of her community and has served on many education-related boards and committees. She has served on the Executive Board Council of the Great City Schools and the Metropolitan Nashville Board of Parks and Recreation. Other committees on which she has served are: Teacher and Learning Committee Board of Education Co-Chair (2015-16); Naming of Schools Board of Education Chair (2009-2016); Administrative Retirement Committee (2009-2016); and Non Discrimination Procurement Committee (2009-2016). She currently serves on the Greater Nashville Alliance of Black School Educators, in addition to an Insurance Trust, Sick Leave Bank and Strategic Compensation Committee. JoAnn is a retired educator who served as a principal, assistant principal, consultant, and classroom teacher. She received her Doctorate in School Leadership from Peabody Vanderbilt, a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Northern Colorado and her Bachelor of Education from Central State University. She and her husband, Dr. Thomas Edward Brannon, have three daughters and three grandchildren.

Brett Henley has been a member of the Coffee County Board of Education since 2010. He has served as Board Chairman since 2014 and was the Chairman for the Director’s Evaluation Committee from 2012-2013. He has served on the Manchester Chamber of Commerce Education Committee since 2012. Brett is the Manager of Henley Propane Inc., and Henley Mini Storage, in addition to being a Certified Flight Instructor. He and his wife, Chrissy, who is the Deputy Court Clerk in Coffee County, have two children: daughter, Ashley, obtaining her Physical Therapy degree at Belmont University and son, Andrew, a Freshman at Tennessee Tech.

Teresa Jones has been a member of the Shelby County Board of Education since 2011. She is the current Board Chairman and has served in that capacity since 2014. She served as the Vice Chairman from 2012-2014. She has served on the Lane College Board of Trustees since 2014. Other committees on which she has served are: Leadership Memphis Executive Program, 2014; Memphis Bar Association Judicial Relations Committee, 2005; MBA Committee on Professionalism, 2007; Tennessee Lawyers Assistance Program, 1999-2005 & 2007-2012, Chairman 2010-2012; Lane College Memphis Alumni Chapter – Secretary 2006; Ben F. Jones Chapter National Bar Association, member since 1986; National Black Prosecutors Association speaker 2010 – present; NAACP Executive Committee member since 2009; Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers 1988 – 2003; MBA, Memphis Bar Foundation Fellow, 2007; and Tennessee Law Association for Women, 1993-1994. Teresa is the Chief City Prosecutor for the City of Memphis Law Division and is the former Assistant Public Defender for the Shelby County Public Defender Office. She received her JD from the University of Memphis and her BA from Lane College.
- Hamilton County, At-Large Member
David Testerman serves on the Hamilton County School Board representing District 8, a position he has held since 2010. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee for the Hamilton County Board of Education. He is also the current Legislative representative for the Hamilton County School Board. He is a passionate educator and was a 30 year employee for the Hamilton County Department of Education. He served as a principal at all levels, including, high school, middle school, and elementary school. He was an officer in the Hamilton County Principal Association and in 1989 he served as President of the Hamilton County Principal Association. He earned his Master’s Degree from Tennessee Technological University in Curriculum and Instruction. He has resided in Hamilton County for over 40 years after moving from his hometown of Danville, VA to attend college in Chattanooga, TN. He has three adult daughters, Abigail, Michelle, and Jennifer and one son, George. But, he especially enjoys spending time with his two grandchildren, Hayley and Winchester.

Robert (Bob) Alvey, Jr., served as the 2013 Immediate Past President, 2012 President, 2011 President-Elect and the 2009-2010 Southwest District Director on the TSBA Board of Directors. A resident of Jackson, Bob has been a member of the Jackson-Madison County Board of Education since 2002. He has served as his School Board Chairman, TLN Representative, FRN Representative, and a member of the TLN Board of Directors. He has achieved Level V/Master Board Member status in the TSBA Boardsmanship Program. He was named to the All Tennessee School Board for 2010, and has received the NSBA Distinguished Service Award. In 2014, he was inducted into the TSBA Scholars Circle. Bob is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University with B.S. and M.S. Degrees in Electrical Engineering. Bob retired from the Procter and Gamble Company after working in the Duracell Personal Power business and Household Care Business Unit. He currently serves as the Board Chairman for the Smiles and Blessings Dental Ministry, and serves as a Director for the Jackson Area Wide Soccer Association. Bob attends Englewood Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon and Youth Sunday School Teacher. Bob is married (Amy) and has two children: Meredith, a 2010 graduate of Auburn University, and Rob, a senior at Union University.
