Chip Baker
At Large Member

Chip Baker has served on the Hamilton County Board of Education since 2000 and is currently the chairman.   He has attained Level 3 in the boardsmanship program. Chip received a B.A in Biology and a MHA in Hospital Administration. He is employed as an Event Coordinator & Producer. He and his wife, Karlette, have four children.

Patrice Robinson
At Large Member

Patrice Robinson has been a member of the Memphis City Board of Education since 2000 and serves as chairman of the board, having also served as its chairman in 2004. She is currently the Tennessee Legislative Network’s West Regional Coordinator. In 2005, she earned TSBA Master Boardsmanship Distinction and in 2007 she received the NSBA Distinguished Service Award. Patrice received her B.S. from the University of Memphis, her M.S. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and in 2006, was a graduate of Leadership Memphis. She is currently the Supervisor of Employee Development with the Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division. She and her husband, Jackie, have three children and one grandchild.

John Smith, Jr.
At-Large Member

John Smith, Jr. has served on the Oak Ridge board of Education since 1994.  He has served as chairman and vice-chairman of his board.  John has attained Level 4 in the boardsmanship program.  He was named to the All Tennessee School Board in 2003 and was a recipient of the NSBA Distinguished Service Award in 2000 & 2006.  John received a B.S. in Business Management and Mathematics from the University of Toledo.  He is the Project Manager of Network Operations for the Science Applications International Corporation.  He and his wife, Clevetta, have three children.

Susan Lodal
At-Large Member/TLN Chairperson

Susan Lodal has served on the Kingsport Board of Education since 2003 and currently serves as its Vice-chairperson. She has been a member of the TLN Board of Directors since 2004 and serves as a TSBA Ambassador. She has achieved Level 5 (Master School Board Member) in boardsmanship program. Susan received her BS in Medical Technology from Purdue University and is a community volunteer. She and her husband, Peter, have three children.
