Award for Excellence in Education Programs

To recognize outstanding programs in local school systems, TSBA offers an award to boards of education that have such programs operating within their districts. These awards shall be made quarterly. Nominations may be submitted by members of the TSBA Board of Directors, by the school board itself, superintendent, school board member or representative of the school district.

Criteria to be considered in selecting award-winning programs include the following:

• uniqueness
• adaptability
• involvement of the community
• evidence of success

Deadlines for 2008 nominations are:

• 1st Quarter - January 25, 2008 - Award Recipients
• 2nd Quarter - May 13, 2008 - Award Recipients
• 3rd Quarter - August 26, 2008
• 4th Quarter - October 16, 2008
