Legislative Services
TSBA keeps a constant watch over all legislation and State Board of Education Rules and Regulations that might affect local school districts. The staff works with legislators, the administration, state board members and education-related organizations in developing state policy that serves the interests of local boards of education.
The Legislative Services Department provides legislative information as well as lobbies for education issues during the legislative session. TLN Notes, our legislative newsletter, is published weekly during the legislative session.

Federal Relations Network
The Federal Relations Network (FRN) provides communications among the NSBA Government Relations Staff, TSBA Government Relations Staff, and local school board members in each congressional district that serve on the FRN. The network is intended to promote communication with the Tennessee Congressional delegation to explain the impact of education policy on local school districts.
